From Street to Sofa

Meooow...it’s me, Mollie!

I’ve lived in this garden for as long as I can remember. With its many shaded spots and plenty of olive trees to hang out and relax, I couldn’t dream of a better place to live. One day, things took an interesting turn when a new couple arrived at the house. They seemed different from the typical holidaymakers I had seen here before. When I approached them, they were so kind as to offer me milk and treats. It felt as if they were inviting me to stay with them.

My new friends showed me their house, which was full of pillows and couches that I was allowed to make my own. They liked stroking me, and they even gave me a name, calling me Mollie. Sometimes I curl up on their bed, which at first they pretended bothered them. I know they secretly love having me close by.

When the sun comes up, I spend my days on the terrace, keeping an eye on the garden. If a rabbit gets too close to the lawn and I feel like chasing it, I do so and bring it home. It’s my way of showing my gratitude for everything they do for me. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to like it. I suppose they’re missing out on what is my greatest skill...

Sadly, one day things took a turn for the worse. A random ginger tomcat started creeping around the house. Imagine my frustration when my housemates started feeding and stroking him! They treated him as if he were mine. They even started calling him by a name, too. I meowed and hissed at him, but he didn’t seem bothered at all. This is still my home...Meooow...
